Hovey Manor is truly one of Canada's most charming and romantic inns offering lakeside seclusion, with luxury and haute cuisine on 1800 feet of prime lakeshore. The Manor was built at the turn of the century as a private estate modeled after George Washington's Mount Vernon home.
We visited in June 2003 and fell in love with the place and booked for Christmas and New Year.
Whilst the inn itself and the setting are beautiful, it is the wonderful friendly atmosphere and everyone associated with the Manor that make it such a magic place to stay.
A brief history of Hovey Manor
Christmas and New Year was a celebration of Laurie's retirement (which we were not aware of when we booked).
