a small museum that is run by Aki Ra for the benefit of land mine victims in Cambodia

2005-03-04_1DS1_C2FW3204.jpg

Aki Ra goes regularly into the rural areas of Cambodia to help clear the mines.  There are an estimated 3 million mines still to be cleared and every day many people either die or lose legs or arms.

He has some 20 orphans and young victims of land mines living in and supported by the museum.

the fortitude of these injured children is amazing.  When explaining his injuries one small boy put his missing limb predicament into context
'no die, no worry..'  his sister and brother were both killed in the blast that disabled him.

building this site in Penang...but that's another story.....

Cambodia has been fantastic.  Beautiful people and stunning architecture.  It is moving and developing so fast that the changes will/may impact on the open and friendly nature of the people.  They deserve to grow and be successful, they have suffered so much.

On to Malayasia
