Alice Springs to Ayers Rock This was the BIG Adventure. West across the West MacDonnell ranges and rough-road 4wd track to Kings Canyon and then Ayers Rock Our trusty steed for the 800km drive was a Nissan Patrol. 4wd diesel with twin fuel tanks. We carried spare water and set off west early.
