Fraser Island (3)

Our last day on beautiful Fraser Island came all too quickly.

We finished with a 06.30 bird-watching walk.

The walk to the end of the jetty was emotional.  This was one of the most reluctant departures we made.

Kairen had spotted a 'shark'.  Laurie wasn't convinced until he saw it too!  It turned out to be a Spanish Tuna, all of five feet long and looking very much like a shark.  We wouldn't have liked to been the fish it was chasing at great speed.

The ferry to the mainland was a sad trip...but we did spot a dolphin!
