Day 2/3 - Boquete A long days drive brought us to the town of Boquete. Nestled in craggy mountain valley at over 3000 feet with the sparkling Rio Caldera running through it. Boquete is known throughout Panama for its cool fresh climate and pristine natural setting. |

Day 4 - Boquete to Bocas del Toro (Isla Colon) Another long days drive brought us to the island of Isla Colon in the region of Boca del Torro.  |

Day 5 - Isla Colon Bocas del Toro, on Panama's Caribbean coast, features tropical rainforests with many rivers and abundant wildlife. Located in northeast Panama near the border of Costa Rica, the province was an important banana-growing region until the plantations were struck by a fruit disease. Bananas are again being cultivated, but the region remains poor and sparsely inhabited. The navigator Christopher Columbus landed in what is now known as Bocas del Toro during his fourth voyage to the Americas in 1502. Isla Colon is by far the most visited of the islands of this Carribean archipelago.
