Thursday 7th
February We awoke to rain ! |
It rained ALL day
... in fact
three
months worth of rain in one day! The temperature didn’t get above
21c and it was lovely we sat with the doors open letting the cool
refreshing air coming into the house. The rain was very welcome as
the heat was sending everybody ‘tropo’. It ended a 48 day run
without rain. 47.6mm worth of rain fell. David filled his 100,000
litre water tank to overflowing from the rain caught off his roofs. |
Friday 8th
February A very early start and we drive down to Sue and Charlie's Charlie and Laurie pop down the road (3 hours) to a farm clearance sale. Susan and Kairen go shopping in Mandurah. |

Saturday 9th
February Donnybrook British Autoclassic Show Early start (again!) to travel a couple of hours in Charlie's immaculate 1972 Rover 3500, to Donnybrook which is the centre of fruit, especially apples, production in W.A. |
The Rover needs the dust and bugs of the journey polishing off. |
'Rosie' is immaculate...an 'unlimited expenditure' restoration. |
