We helped Charlie to fit a spit roaster on his BBQ (which is better than Laurie's...he measured it and found it was just bigger than his!) before heading home. Mooched into town where we came across the tomato festival. Entertainment and school kids having a great time. It was a hot day

Doug has asked Laurie to ride down to Wendy's with him. It was already 27c at 7.30 when Loz left for Doug's.  Loz  arrived back home 13.00 bright red and very warm to say the least, it was so hot I'm amazed he was still standing! They had ridden up and down the freeway on the cycle path. The last hour had been 'challenging'.  We had had a lazy afternoon,... Doug was in the garden chopping trees down!

Monday 9th March  34c

We visited the Ship Wrecks Museum mainly because it was really cool inside and turned out to be very interesting. Some of the ships that headed from England to these shores in the 1700's were so small.

Ice coffee and a bun helped us to keep our strength up. The water was so calm as walked through Fisherman's Harbour thrilled to see two dolphins playing in the water.

Wednesday 10th March

We have been 'meaning' to visit Caversham wildlife Park for a couple of years. Today we managed it. Kebs was in her element, kangaroos, koalas, hairy nosed wombats, Tasmanian devils, you name it, we saw or stroked it she was so giddy. 4.5 hours later we left the park.
