A lazy week-end in prospect (so what's new?)
By 9am we had tidied away and the house was presentable again.
The courtyard was quiet, strange that every time we get together the day after nobody is around! We don't think it's personal just them leading us astray!
The rain had disappeared and it was a lovely sunny day so we went for a mooch, coffee and a bun at Bathers Beach, had to come home for a nanny nap! We're British so we made it out to Bella Roma for dinner on the Strip. It was buzzing, unlike the courtyard.

Sunday 21st March
High sky day so we sat reading the papers outside. Mooched to the markets and watched a street performer before heading down to Bathers Beach. While down there we thought it would be rude not to pay a visit to Creatures. The Loft was closed for a private function, how very dare they! In order to continue our support for the brewing industry we visited the Chook Hut. Started talking to Jackie and Scott who had just emigrated to Perth from NZ, and Nikkie (Pom) and Grant. Had a great afternoon with lots of laughs, and plenty of beers. Decided to have the champagne that Jeanie had given for us with dinner.

Blue sky is back hurrah. Last year whilst waving the QE2 off from Fremantle we met Andria and Chris, they had just emigrated out here from Derby in the UK. Today we had lunch with Andria. It was lovely seeing her and finding out how they are now starting to settle into life down under. Outside the cafe was the annual West End Dash...university students having a sports day in the road (it was closed off) to raise money for charity. It was fun to watch. We packed my bike away, before Doug thought I should join them tomorrow. Phew!

Loz bless him left early to meet Doug for a bike ride, they did 32Km. Doug had been disappointed that Susan and Charlie were on their tractor trek as he and Laurie could have cycled down to their house – it takes us an hour to drive there! Loz was relieved although he did managed to stop himself jumping up and shouting thank goodness for that! All I can say is it's a good job that Doug doesn't run!
Laurie came home and packed his bike away! Kebs did pink jobs again - food shopping!
Up to Joondalup for our last Kul-cha fix. It was interesting because we have no idea whether this will be part of our trip next time as Andy and Janine are hoping to move North. Sad to say our goodbyes to the Baker clan till next time.

A last trip to Mossman Beach.
There is a boat show on in Fisherman's Harbour with displays on in the Park. Had a mooch down there window shopped the $2.8 million boat which was a very posh floating caravan.
Tonight we had the Martin family farewell dinner at our place. Doug, Jeanie, Wendy, David, Tim, Liz, Dino and Mia. We dragged the patio table inside and levelled it to the dining table with various books from the bookcase. Doug got to watch the DVD of his Tiger Moth flight that Loz had done for him, he loved it. It was a lovely evening and great to be able to say to Jeanie see you in Manchester in August!

This is the point where we know we are on our way home. We packed our stuff up and took it to Jeanie's for storage. We had already taken one car load up yesterday. Managed to have it completed early so that we had the rest of the day to enjoy Freo.
Had a mooch along the Strip for an ice coffee, it has to be done. It has become a bit of a tradition on our last night here to watch the sun set from Creatures Loft then over to Joe's Shack for dinner and tonight was no exception. It was lovely.

Saturday 28c
We don't fly till 23.30 and so we have a full day here. Brilliant. We have the run of the house until we leave for the airport at 19.30…even better.
We took the car back and then started our farewell mooch of Fremantle. E-sheds with ice coffee, past Bathers Beach shopped at Creatures. Then up to the markets. In order to spread our excitement today we had a couple of hours back home chatting to the neighbours. Their livers are pleased we are leaving for a while. Edna had baked us some yummy fruit scones.
Time to visit the Loft to say goodbye to Oonagh, Nick and Mikanos (from Swindon!). Up to Bella Roma for a late lunch Teresa the lady who looks after us came to make sure we were leaving, while we stuffed our faces with garlic bread and pizza, we have to make sure we get good seats on the plane somehow.
Jeanie & Doug are taking us to the airport so a quick nanny nap before our long journey home.
