An overcast morning greeted us, it was still 24c we managed to walk to Fisherman’s Harbour then back up the strip before our weekly trip to Joondalup where we met up with more new family, Jason, Kim and Lily (age 4), Baker who emigrated out here last Friday 23rd . I think we now have more rellies here than at home.

Another overcast and hot day. All down to the cyclone in the North, the clouds are the most we get of it, we may occasionally get a some rain.
We headed down to Susan and Charlie’s in Pinjarra today. We had a good run down it never ceases to amaze us how much Pinjarra changes every time we come over. The first visit it was a tiny place, now there is a shopping mall and lots of new housing.
Laurie worked on Susan’s computer… just like being at home! We went out for a coffee and a bun and even got to see a possum in the tree at the café. The freeway that is being built across the road is coming along. It was due to be finished in December this year but is on plan to be completed by June.
We mooched around the farm before going to Mandy and Grant’s for a birthday bbq. There was enough meat to feed the whole street! A really hot evening so lots of cold beer had to be drunk. Mandy’s son Shannon brought his 10 week old pup so Kebs got her fix. It was turned midnight before we got back to Charlie’s

Mandy’s birthday. The thing about being at Charlie’s is he’s a farmer so we were up at 7.15. Went back to Mandy and Grants for a breakfast barbie. You could never be a vegetarian in Australia!
Bucks Fizz to celebrate and headed back to Fremantle for our big night out.

In September we had booked VIP tickets to go to see Cirque du Soleil in Perth and tonight was the night. We scrubbed up and set off into Perth. Loz had volunteered to drive (bless him). We were shown into the VIP tent to be greeted with champagne which was free-flowing before the performance and during the intermission. Food was also in abundance. The performance “Dralion” was brilliant we were centre stage one row back. We have never oooh’d and aaah’d so much. Such a buzz when we came out.
