We leave Susan and Charlie and head down the road for Boxing Day festivities at Mandy & Grant's

Sam's house is close to a bush fire and Kairen goes with her to rescue Honey.	Kairen gets to see Sam's lovely home
Lance (also known as Leon) & Ashley	Laurie gets a new bird - Honey
The house and garden are well decorated
We play some party games
	Finishing off the evening with a game on their new pool table
Saturday 27th December A lazy get-up and a fantastic BBQ breakfast cooked by Grant
We visit Grant's workplace - Fairbridge.	Mandy stayed here for several months when she first arrived in Australia as a child
The site has some unhappy memories for Mandy. The site is now a holiday and conference venue.  It's past history is a difficult story. See [1], [2], [3] ...these are not a comfortable read.	This was the cottage where she stayed with her three sisters and many more children It is just coincidence that Grant now works here (tutoring indigenous youngsters to acquire a trade)

Sunday 27 December

We go to Jason & Kim's for a Baker Christmas celebration.  It's pushing 39c and the pool is beckoning.

Nemo!	The pool temperature is 29c...wimp!

Jason goes looking for red-back spiders - and finds them	Tuesday 29 December Jean invites us for a wonderful dinner party at her house
Using the Bakewell tart recipe she acquired on her holiday with us, Jean has baked a perfect example. It doesn't last long	Everyone has full tums!
